When the stranding response organization at the Maine Department of Marine Resources closes due to funding, Lynda Doughty steps up to fill the void and continue providing help to Maine’s marine mammals. Doughty was able to form Marine Mammals of Maine to take over coverage of midcoast and southern Maine beaches. A tickler can be seen at this link.
