Information we collect
When you fill out a form on our site or sign up to receive emails from us you elect to provide us with personal information that we can use to contact you. If you specify the method of contact that you prefer we strive to be in contact with you in that way, though do not guarantee that we won’t use other information you provide to us to contact you.
We use google analytics to track aggregate data about website usage, visitor locations and other data. This information is not personally identifiable and is used to help us better understand the audience seeking information from us. We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to our site and to help us make changes to our site to improve visitor experience.
When you sign up to receive emails from us our email provider tracks user metrics such as email opens and click rates. We analyze this data to understand the types of content our audience would like to receive.
In addition to the voluntary contact information described above we collect payment details from visitors who make donations and other payments using our web based forms. Credit card information is not stored or viewable by staff, though donation amounts are reported to staff and board.
How we use the information we collect
We use the information you provide to us to send updates on our work throughout the year as well as event announcements, ways to get involved and fundraising appeals. We do not share your information with third parties or sell your information. You can unsubscribe or update your email preferences at any time using the link included at the bottom of every newsletter.
Information storage and security
Our website has SSL encryption, which you can verify by looking for the lock to the left of our URL. Information transmitted to us is stored in our CRM indefinitely, though you can request that we edit or delete information at any time. MMOME staff and board members are the only individuals who can access this information, which is not shared outside the organization.
