Marine Mammals of Maine (MMoME) is still here and going strong! However, the closing of the Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center at the University of New England in May, 2014 has increased the pressure on MMoME’s staff and volunteers during our busiest time of the year.
Lynda Doughty, our Executive Director, is working closely with our Board of Directors to develop a long term strategy and a plan to bring marine mammal rehabilitation back to Maine. With this in mind, we are launching the SAVE OUR STRANDED SEALS campaign to enable MMoME to weather the current crisis and move forward. A financial donation of any size will be of great help to us.
